Mountain Biking

I am a middle aged mountain bike enthusist and web engineer.

I started riding a few years ago as I could no longer run due to numerous injuries.

I am a clyde. If I could drop 40 pounds I’d still be a clyde. I tend to lean towards gravity events. I race Super D on occasion and am a huge downhill fan. Those specifics mean I’m a bit harder on equipment than your average 165lb XC rider and makes me uniquely qualified to stress test parts. If it lasts for a couple years of my riding then its a really well built piece.

I ride between 4 and 6 days a week, generally for around an hour. I can climb with the best of them but if you are under 200lbs and we are riding together, bring a lunch as I dont climb very quick.

I’m currently riding a Santa Cruz Heckler.

My goal for this site is to hopefully pass on a bit of useful information on mountain biking, the bikes and parts used, and how us clydes keep our equipment together. Perhaps along the way we will have a bit of fun.
